Word puzzles are a hot favorite among almost every one of us. People of all age groups like and enjoy solving word puzzles as a hobby or as a means of whiling away time of leisure. However, apart from the fun and enjoyment aspect of word finds, they are also an excellent source of enhancing one’s vocabulary. Children very often tend to like word puzzles as they are a fine medium for learning new words. Teachers also find word puzzles really intriguing as they can hold the attention of their students for quite a long time along with making them to improve on their word knowledge. Word puzzles are very easily available in books and newspapers but have you ever wondered to create your own word puzzle? Yes, it’s easy and also quite simple to build up a word find on your own. Just catch a look at the following steps to help you make this task easier:
- You shall have to first open the web browser on your personal computer and type in a web address for any word search creator. Incase you are facing any problems while finding the web addresses, you can type search for it in Google. Open the page of word search creator by clicking on the “enter” button.
- After opening the page, you will have to find the place where one can enter new words for the word find puzzle. Here, you shall notice that there are 54 boxes specified for entering the words. It suggests that you cannot enter more than 54 words for your word find puzzle. However, words less than 54 in number can be entered.
- Take out the list of words that you made earlier and type them to the boxes given and then press “enter”.
- Now a next page will open which shall include all the words typed in by you on the first page. You will find a finished word puzzle wherein the words would be spread everywhere. The placement is up, down, backward, forward and diagonally.
- There will be an “answer key PDF” button just below the puzzle. By clicking on it, you will open a new page which will allow you to see the whereabouts of the hidden words. This feature is particularly very useful for teachers as it will allow them to provide the students with an answer key after the completion of the puzzle.
- You can print several copies of this page and keep a master copy with yourself for future use. It is also advised to copy the URL address at the top of the page.
