Make Your Own BookmarkWhenever we visit a new place or go on a vacation with our friends and family, we take photographs to preserve the memories of that place. Those snaps serve as remembrances of wonderful moments in our life. We can make those photos provide you extra pleasure by turning them into lovely looking bookmarks which you can always keep with yourself or even gift it to someone on a special occasion! So what’s the wait for? Let us get into the act of learning to make lovely bookmarks out of your snapshots. The things required for this purpose are as follows:

  • Glossy photo paper
  • Printer
  • PC
  • Paper cutter
  • Laminating machine and sheets
  • Printer
  • Digital photographs

The process is as follows:

  1. Open Microsoft word in your PC. Notice the toolbar on the top and click on “file”. After this go to “page set up”. Now click under “landscape” and then on “orientation”.
  2. After you are finished doing this, click on “insert” on the top of the toolbar. From this, go to “picture” and then “from file”. This will help you to locate your photographs which are either stored in the hard disk of your PC or a CD.
  3. Now choose and click on the desired photograph and it shall be inserted on to the word page that you had opened earlier. You have the option of cropping and resizing the photo by clicking on a corner and then moving the cursor towards the centre of the photo.
  4. Now you will have to bring the cursor to the right of the image and hit the space button around 10 times to create space between the bookmarks that you are creating. Continue with the same process as above to insert another 2 or 3 images. You can add 4 photos to the top row of the page. In order to come to the second row, you will have to hit the “return” button 3 times. Now you can again start inserting pictures by the same process.
  5. Finish the process after you have completed inserting 12 images in total for a certain page aligned vertically. Print this page on a glossy photo paper. Now is the turn to laminate the page. Slip the printed page in between laminating sheets and begin the process of lamination. It is advised that the process of lamination should be done under expert supervision.
  6. Now cut the laminated printed page with a paper cutter and get the individual bookmarks.
