Steps for Making Your Own Jeopardy
- Initially decide the different categories of the game that you would to include. Now label each category. Write the categories name on the index cards and pin them on top of the game board.
- Now prepare the questions for the game. You may prepare 30 trivia questions for the first round of play. Each category should comprise 5 questions. Write them on individual index cards. Arrange the cards in order of easier to tougher questions sequence.
- Write the money worth- 200, then $400, $600, $800, and finally $1000 on the reverse side of these index cards. Now fasten the cards to the game boards either with magnets or with push pins as per the surface of the board.
- Maintain a copy or record of questions and answers. It is to be handed over to the host who will be responsible for reading them out to the participants.

How to Play the Game?
- Pick out the categories and placed the cards on the board. Choose a host who will read out the questions and write the scores.
- Allow the participant to select a category and then let the host ask the question that is under that particular category. You may allow the contestant to use a buzzer, whistle or even clap so as to be heard.
- In case of a correct answer, the participant gets the chance to go for another question.
- Make an additional column on the board for maintaining the scores. Below each participant’s name, add or deduct their points depending upon their correct or incorrect answers.
- You may increase the difficulty level with every round. Double the scores for the second round as the questions become tougher.
- For final jeopardy, reveal the category and then allow them to wager secretly. Once they decide how much they want to risk, let them write the amount with their name on it.
- Ensure that the participants keep their answers hidden till they are called for the answers. Finally the person with maximum points will win the game.
