Previously it was known as “hokku”, but almost by the end of the 19th century the name changed to haiku and this present depiction or current name was coined by a Japanese writer Masaoka Shiki. It is a Japanese lyric verse traditionally invokes a facet of seasons during a year or about the nature. As a poem even haiku appears with in the essence of a particular format having unrhymed lines of five and seven syllables. The completed and proper haiku has 17 syllables in 3 lines of an arrangement that looks like 5, 7 and 5 at the end of the encodings.
