Heat is another requisite for composting. So if you can allow the sunlight to fall on the bucket for some time, it may hasten the process of composting. If there is a place in your house which gets direct sunlight, then place the bucket there for some time.
Rolling the bucket is also a must. This will mix up the ingredients of the compost and keep a balance in the materials inside. The composting will take place evenly.
