The decision to creating a tattoo yourself is a big decision as it may not be the rose walk you initially think it to be. You must make your mind up before you decide to go for it. Whether you really want it or not in case you are doubtful then just give it some more thought and time as well.

So people are paranoid with needles coming close to their body, such people need some guidance, if they really want to get a tattoo. The process to tattoo yourself is a complicated one and may take somewhat more time for the first timers. Certain things that you need to get before really going about tattooing yourself are a sewing needle (sanitized in boiling water), ball pen, some anti-bacterial sanitizer, a pencil, a tape, some thread and some acrylic paint. For the after tattooing care, you would need some cotton or bandage and antiseptic lotions. The last and most important thing you would need is loads of patience and determination.

The steps to get your self a nice tattoo is as follows:

1. Choose the spot in your body very carefully. It has to be one that has less of veins and you are able to reach that position without struggling.
2. Select a design that you like. You need to take some time to choose the design as this is a permanent design on your body. Also, if you are a first timer, pick a simple design. You should avoid designs that may require some expertise and if you mess with it you can never get it back right.
3. Attach the needle to the pencil and use the thread to ensure that it is safely tied to it. You can use the tape to stick it to the pencil and make it more secured. Make sure, the tip of the needle is about one cm out when you tape it.
4. Clean your hands and the spot you want to tattoo with the sanitizer properly.
5. You can draw the design you want on the spot with the help of the ball point pen.
6. Now, you need to poke the needle to the marked area of the design created by the pen. You need to poke and not too hard several times in the same spot to get the design.
7. Use the cotton and antiseptic lotion on the spot you just tattooed yourself and clean any blood that comes in the process.

Tips: If you want an intricate and complicated design, get it done by a professional tattoo artist as you may mess it up. You can use different colors but for the first times, avoiding these would prove helpful.
