Put the paper bag in a dry place for 24 to 36 hours without disturbing the state. Check the fruits regularly to provide the bananas the desired degree of ripeness. Remove the bananas from the bag once these are ripe and store in refrigerator till further usage. Under this chemical method, the raw bananas are stored in a blocked room containing calcium carbide. With heating up of these chemicals, acetylene gas is emitted throughout the closed room resulting in quick ripening of the bananas.
