How to Post Links on Facebook

There is a continuous increase in the number of people joining Facebook and creating their profile on the popular social networking website. The network has offered a set of smart, efficient and time-saving options to keep in touch with your loved ones. Further, the wall feature extended by Facebook allows you to share a single link, photo, video, question and status update with a large number of people. You will share the item by posting on your personal Facebook home page and the same can be seen by a number of users being selected by you through the sharing options. You can easily share links by posting these on your Facebook wall. The social network also allows you to select the exact users, who can access and see the link posted and shared by you. A user has option to share the link only with his Facebook friends, friends of friends, as well as with a set of users selected and added by him individually. So you can use these options and easily post the external links of your personal choice posted on various external websites.

Instructions

Log in to Facebook by using your email address and password. You will be redirected to your home page. At the top section of your home page, you can see options to share your Status, Photo, Link, Video and Question. Click on the Link image button to post an online link.
Now you can see a text box on the screen along with a button labeled as Attach. Type the URL of the link that you want to post on Facebook. Alternately, you can copy the URL of the particular web link which you want to post on your social networking home page. Click on the Attach button after mentioning the URL of the link inside the textbox.
Now you can see the preview of the link posted by you on a new form. You will also be shown with a text box asking you to “Say something about this link…”. If you want to add some personal remark, comment or description of the link you have posted and shared on Facebook, you can key in the same in the respective text box.
You can also see a lock icon allowing you to select the sharing options. By default the posted link is shared with Everyone, but you have options to share the post with Friends Only, Friends of Friends, and Customized users. If you want to share the posted ling with a customized list of users, click on the Customize option. The option allows you to create a list of specific Facebook users who can display the shared link on their Facebook walls. You can select the individual persons and make a customized list to share the link posted by you on the social networking website.
Click on the Share button to post the link on Facebook and sharing it with a set of people selected based on the sharing option chosen by you.
