2. Once you know the cards properly, its time to get started with playing Pokemon cards. The first step of playing Pokemon card is to shuffle the deck of cards before you and your opponent draw seven cards each. If your card contains one Pokemon type card in your hand, you can place one of the cards down as your active battler and place up to five card types as reserve on-deck. Keep aside six cards from the deck as Prize cards.
3. Now, it’s time to start the turns of the card game. If you are confused about who should start the game first, you can toss a coin to come to a conclusion. The person who wins the toss can start the turn by drawing a card and preparing for the battle. If you are starting with the game you can do that by adding Pokemon to your reserve. The other options to keep the game going are using energy card on active Pokemon, and activating the supporter, trainer and stadium cards. 4. Once you are prepared for the battle, you can proceed with the game to attack your opponent. Expert players of the card games can make an idea about the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent and they take every step carefully by calculating the damages. In case your Pokemon has energy to use a move, you can use it to fight with the Pokemon of your opponent. You can also keep track of the damages by using the counters. If the damage of one player exceeds Pokemon’s HP, the other player is the winner of the turn and gets one from the Prize cards of the opponent.
5. However, there are two options for a player to win the game. Either the player has to collect all prize cards of the opponent or win all the Pokemon of the opponents. Alternatively, if one party runs out of card on the deck, the game comes to an end.
