- Even while learning, innovations are more than welcome. And so different sounds of chords could be produced by playing the chords differently rather than playing them together or broken. For this, inversion could be introduced which means playing the C chord as either E-G-C or G-C-E,
- Finally, you could be called ‘learnt’ only if you are equipped well enough to play the baseline with the left hand and a melody with the right with addition of chord notes with both hands in the middle. This generally requires that you employ your thumb and forefingers.
- Using appropriate fingers avoids various distractions while leaning to play piano chords. Fingers 5,3,1 in the left hand are used for major and minor chords while for the seventh chords the fingers employed are 5,3,2,1.
- Recurrent practice is the key to mastery and while it is wiser to learn a well set note for a melody to practice and expertise, you could also explore your own notes.
