How to Paint Xbox 360 Xbox 360 console is a breakthrough in the gaming world that redefines video games. Instructions

Prior you start painting your system, gather all the material that you will require in the process. You will need paint, painters tape, primer, clear acrylic, sand paper, small screwdriver and T10 Torx Screwdriver.

Dissembling the Console

Once you have all the material with you, start dissembling the case. Carefully remove all the parts of the console case. Remove the hard drive and also make sure that all the wires are disconnected.
Take out the faceplate of the console.
Also remove the top and bottom mesh panel attached to the case by pressing in the tabs using a small pointed object.
Once the tabs release the catches, insert a knife into the tabs in the back of the set and press down until you hear a pop sound. Be careful while doing this, do not press too hard because prying too hard may break the tabs.
When you take apart all the tabs, pop off the top part.

Sanding the X360 box

While sanding the case, you can start off with a 200 grit sand paper.
Once majority of the painting is taken off with the lower grit sand paper, you can switch to a higher grit sand paper of 400 to 600.
Continue sanding with this sand paper until you achieve a smooth and even surface.
When done with sanding you can wash off all the pieces with water.

Priming and Painting process

First apply a single coat of primer on the surface and leave it undisturbed for nearly an hour.
Once it’s dry, use heavy grit sanding paper of nearly 1500+ for doing some wet sanding.
Allow it to dry and repeat the steps.
When completely dry, you can apply the first coat of paint followed by wet sanding method twice. Go for three coats of paint.
After a day of drying, apply the clear acrylic. Repeat the above steps with three coats but make sure not to sand on the last coat. Be very careful while doing this step because any mistake may spoil your efforts and you will have to repeat the whole process.
After allowing the case to dry for few days, you will have with you a new and stylish Xbox 360 console that you can show to everyone and gather appreciation for your creativity and innovation.
