How to Paint CamouflageCamouflage painting is omnipresent almost everywhere these days. Though the main and primary function of camouflage painting is to conceal something, these days it is widely used and accepted as a medium of improving or enhancing the décor of a house. Nowadays it has become so popular that people have come to recognize camouflage painting as a means of decoration and adornment of the interiors. You can very well choose your favorite colors to paint camouflage on the walls. However it is best advised to go for traditional colors as they bring out the maximum result in terms of beauty of a wall. So what’s the wait for? Let us get on with the task of painting camouflage over a wall!

  1. Begin by choosing the wall which needs camouflage painting. A small tip can help you in this regard. While choosing a particular wall, keep in mind that camouflage can look very full of activity so start with a small area and then build up on it as you like.
  2. Choose the colors for the paint. You will have to decide on three colors of paint for the wall. You can opt for any of the traditional colors like olive green, tan and black or tan, brown and black etc. But it is entirely your decision to choose any three colors for the camouflage painting. For example, for a girl’s room you can choose pink, white and gray and for a guy you can go for blue, white and gray.
  3. Start drawing a pattern of camouflage on the wall with a pencil. Make sure that you draw very lightly. It is worth noting here that there are no specific rules and directions for drawing a camouflage pattern, you can just draw varied shapes and sizes of outlines according to your personal choice. Incase you are still unsure about the pattern structures then you can always visit your nearby store and purchase a book on camouflage patterns or use any image or picture as your idea! How to Paint Camouflage
  4. After having finished with the drawing of the patterns, you can start the painting process. Begin the task by choosing the color which is the lightest of all. Use a brush to dip it in the paint and randomly paint in the shapes that you have drawn. You do not have to be very careful about staying within the outlines of the patterns while painting as there are another two colors of paint left. Leave the paint to dry properly.
  5. Now take the medium colored paint and repeat the same process of dipping the brush in the paint to color randomly in the patterns drawn. However, here you just have to be careful about one thing that this medium color paint gets connected with the lighter color earlier painted.
  6. Allow this paint to dry properly before proceeding any further.
  7. Now choose the dark paint to color all the leftover shapes and patterns that you had drawn on the wall. Repeat the same process for painting and make sure that this color gets connected with lighter and medium ones. This dark paint will help cover any mistakes very easily.
  8. Your camouflaged wall is ready to be your neighbor’s envy!
