- It is best to pick three colors to paint camouflage rather than to experiment with too many colors. You can choose between a combination of olive green, black and tan or tan, black and brown. In fact, there is no particular set of colors that you must follow. You can paint softer colors too if it happens to be your daughter’s room. Experiment with pink, white and gray or blue, white and gray to add a subtle look.

- Before painting camouflage, draw the outlines with a pencil first. You just need to follow your heart and draw whatever shape comes to your mind. There are non particular directions that you need to follow. However, if you are in need of any assistance, then get a book of camouflage patterns or purchase a stencil to draw in the patterns on the wall. You can also get ideas from any piece of clothing or a pattern from any magazine. Just draw whatever appeals to your senses and looks good.
- Next step is to paint the camouflage after it is completely drawn. Pick the lightest color and paint the shapes which you feel like. Take care that you dip the brush properly so that paint does not drip on the floor. Do not be very particular about the boundaries that the shapes cut out. Since you have two other darker colors to go, they can blend the light color well without making the wall look haphazard. After you finish painting one color, let it dry.
- It is time to consider the medium color now. Repeat the same steps as above. Dip in paint and apply thoroughly. Make sure that you blend with the edges of the lightest paint. There should not be any part of the old wall peeking from the middle. Again, paint as many of the shapes that you please leaving out some for the darkest paint. Let the paint dry.
- Again repeat the same procedure with the darkest color. You can cover all of your mistakes with the darkest color. Connect with all the edges of the shapes of other colors. Make sure that you cover the entire wall.
- If you have tried it out on a small scale then evaluate your performance and repeat the entire procedure for the rest of the wall. You can add the darkest paint to hide your errors. Within no time, you will have painted camouflage on a wall.
