How to Nurse an Injured Bird
Birds are beautiful creations of nature. If you find an injured bird and ensure its safety, take good care of it. However, one of the best things to do is look after an injured bird until it can fly away or until a licensed rehabilitator takes over. Though, rescuing and caring for an injured bird is difficult, still it leads lots of soul satisfaction. Some useful instructions about bird caring are given below:
Try to locate source of injury
Try to judge the source of the injury. If you can protect by some preliminary treatments, you must do that. Birds are so delicate and needs immediate treatment .So, make them their best treatment by veterinarian and let them free from injuries.
Avoid stressing the bird further
An injured bird must already take stress .you need to stop further stressing it. If you have other animals or birds, keep them away from the injured bird. They may bring troubles. Keep watching for further development and recovery of them. If they look stress free, you can release them for further safeties. Nature is the safest place for birds and they feel extremely happy while being free.
Contact to wild life rehabilitation center

Approach the bird slowly, smoothly
Handle with care as birds seem injure and need attention, concern for their well being. Look for the area for the bird’s nest. Keep the bird in an artificial hand made box if nest can not found. If the injuries seem much extensive, line the box with some smooth tissues or towels .Push holes in the side of the box, so the bird can easily take breath. Use another towel to scoop up the bird and keep it smoothly in the box. Cover the box with a lid and hang it in calm, crowd free area. Continue checking the bird after hours to see if it has recovered a little at its own or needs further treatment. Release the bird if you feel it has been completely recovered.
