And when we are not confident of our culinary skills we tend to depend on the fewer choices that we have. So, if you are scared to try certain dishes thinking how that would turn out to be then, you can always try some expert help. One of the dishes that usually scares most is cooking the steak. As it expensive and if you don’t cook it well enough you would spoil the dinner as well as the steak.

There are some cool ways to make steak that would be pretty mouth watering and people would literally eat out of your hands. Not necessarily that you would require a grill to cook steak. You can always use your pan, burner or an oven or a cast iron skillet to cook steaks. Be careful when you buy steak.

Experts generally agree that these four cuts are the best choices when you’re looking to impress or indulge. Chef Richard Chamberlain notes that a bone-in steak cooks more slowly, but the bone adds flavor to leaner cuts. You can get a T-bone or a Porterhouse or the boneless New York Strip or Rib-eye and make sure they are at least one inch thick.

It always pays to cook steak with a piping hot cooking surface.

  • Some good one to two inches thick steaks
  • Some olive oil
  • Some butter
  • Pepper as per taste
  • Other herbs as desired
  • Salt as per taste

Preparation procedure

  • Wash and pat the steaks dry with a tissue paper. You don’t want any water to remain on the surface.
  • Make a mixture of salt and pepper or any other herbs you like.
  • Sprinkle the mixture on one side of the steaks and spread it properly with repeat the procedure on the other side.

Cooking Procedure

  • Place a frying pan on the stove and put some oil in it. Let it get piping hot.
  • Now place the meat into the pan. If you heat the oil properly, you would hear a loud sizzle. In case you decide to cook outside, make sure you heat your vent-hood is full to blast.
  • Check the bottom side of the steaks. You need to check if the crust is brown or mahogany in color and it should not get too dark. Nobody would like to eat an overcooked meat.
  • Flip the steak and let the other side cook for some more time.
  • Remove from pan when you find them cooked to the perfect note.
  • Now spread some butter and other herbs as desired.
  • You can use some stock to cook the leftovers in the pan and make a sauce to paint the steaks with it.

Now that your steaks are ready to eat, you can serve it along with some green salad or vinaigrette.
