How to Make Spicy Chili1 How to Make Spicy ChiliSpicy chilly is popular as a low fat and easy to make recipe. Once you gather the required ingredients, you can make the dish within 2 hours. It can be served hot to your guests, friends and family members during cold winter days and evenings.

Recipe I
Ingredients

  • 1 pound of lean ground chuck
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans of ranch-style beans
  • 1 (15-ounce) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 (15-ounce) can of niblet corn, drained
  • 1 (10-ounce) can of ro-tel

Instructions

  1. Place the lean ground chuck inside a Dutch oven and roast over a medium-high heat. Keep roasting till the beef turns crumbly.
  2. Stir in the chopped onion, bell pepper and minced garlic along with the chili powder, ground cumin, salt and black pepper. Combine all these ingredients to mix well with the roasted beef.
  3. Add the ranch-style beans, tomato sauce, niblet corn, and ro-tel. Mix the ingredients well and cook for about 30 minutes on simmer by reducing the heat. During cooking, do not cover the pot and stir occasionally to cook the dish evenly.
  4. The dish is ready to be served. Transfer it to plates and serve it to your guests.

Recipe II
Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (11 ounce) can of whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 habanero pepper
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 2 large cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of masa harina flour
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of white sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the lean ground beef in a medium sized skillet and put the skillet over medium heat to cook. Cook the meat till it turns evenly brown. Drain the grease once the beef is cooked.
  2. Place the kidney beans, whole kernel corn, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water inside a large pot. Combine and mix the ingredients well and place the pot on heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce the heat to low once the mixture starts boiling.
  3. Transfer the finely chopped jalapeno peppers, habanero peppers, red onion and garlic to a food processor and mix the ingredients inside the pot. Add the mixture to the cooked beef and combine the mixture well. Now stir in the masa flour and season the dish with cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and white sugar.
  4. Cook the dish for additional 45 minutes to one hour by stirring frequently. Remove the dish from heat and serve to your friends and family members.
