Nacho snackNachos are a perfect snack item that you can enjoy with your family or friends in the evening. It can also be served as a party platter to your guests. Be it any occasion, nachos are always a good snack option that is light, tasty and easy to make.

If you are planning to include nachos in your next party menu list, then learn to make this dish. You can make any variety depending upon your choice. Here is a recipe of nachos which is one of the most commonly made varieties.

Steps for making Nachos Platter

  1. Buy some tortilla chips. You can try out some yellow corn tortilla chips. They are considered to be the most preferred choice because unlike other chips they do not get soggy. Also buy your favorite chili with beans and cheese. Make sure to purchase two varieties as they will enhance the flavor of the nachos. You will also need some sour cream, black olive and salsa for making the dish.
  2. Now take a baking sheet and carefully wrap it in a wrinkled tin foil. Spread the chips over the baking sheet. Heat the chili over flame and as it starts getting hot, add some Velveeta cheese (or any otherNacho snack cheese of your choice) to it. Allow the mix to cook till all the cheese is melted.
  3. Carefully pour the fine mix of chili and Velveeta cheese evenly over the tortilla chips. Now sprinkle some finely shredded cheese on the top of the chili/Velveeta mix. Place the baking sheet along with all the ingredients into the pre-heated oven (heated to 375degrees).
  4. Allow the nachos to bake for nearly 5 to 8 minutes, till it turns crispy golden. Remove it from the oven and carefully pick up the nachos from the baking sheet (use the corners of the foil). Now leave the nachos on the foil for some time to ensure the golden crust formed on the top of the nachos does not get spoilt.
  5. Now garnish your nachos. Place small dollops of salsa on the top of the nachos along with some dollops of sour cream. Also add some sliced black olives over the nachos. Now your nachos platter is ready to be served.

Tips to Remember

  1. Serve the nachos dish as soon as it is prepared. Do not allow the dish to sit for long because the cheese will solidify and hence it will lose its flavor.
  2. If you want to make your nachos spicier, then go on to add jalapeño peppers on the nachos before baking. You can also try out your favorite sauce or shredded cheese on the nachos.
  3. Experiment with several other ingredients to enhance the flavor of your nachos. You can add some pepperoni, salami, or even ham bits on the corn chips.
