How to Make Lemon Butter Sauce
Lemon butter sauce is a perfect addition to several dishes like chicken, fish, and other food varieties. There are many variations of this simple lemon sauce. Just by altering/adding different ingredients, one can make this butter sauce more delicious and savory. Here is a simple recipe that will help you make rich and delectable lemon butter sauce in just few minutes time.
Instructions
- Take a frying pan and heat it over high heat. Add lemons, garlic, wine and shallots to the pan and cook for nearly 3 minutes.
- Now take out the softened lemons from the pan and break it up and mash in a bowl with a wooden spoon.
- Put the mashed lemon back to the frying pan and add salt, pepper and Worcestershire to the pan. Continue to stir the mixture until it becomes a little syrupy.
- Slowly go on to add the cream. Make sure you continue to stir as you pour the cream. Heat the ingredients at high heat for 1 minute.
- Now reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter, few tbsp at a time, while
continuing to stir the mixture. - Remove the pan from the heat. Keep stirring the sauce to ensure the butter blends completely with other ingredients.
- Carefully strain the sauce into a bowl. Your must press down on the mixture to extract all the liquid.
- Finally stir in the parsley, and serve the sauce warm. If you want you can also substitute other herbs, like basil or oregano, for the parsley.

- Fresh-squeezed lemons are fragrant and more flavorful than bottled lemon juice.
- Peeling the lemons reduces the bitterness of the sauce.
- Be cautious when cooking over high heat. Splashing can cause burns.
