  • Natural pigment
  • Double boiler
  • Empty coffee can
  • Soap molds
  • 16 oz. of glycerin base
  • ΒΌ ounce of essential oils
  • 1 tsp dried flower blossoms

Have a look at the below mentioned step by step guide that can make your task all the more easier and simpler:

  • You shall have to begin the task of making glycerin soap by first melting the glycerin. This can be done by placing the glycerin in an empty coffee can. Make sure that the coffee can you are using is clean. After placing the glycerin inside the coffee can, put the can inside the top part of a double boiler. The bottom portion of the double boiler has to be filled halfway with water. Once you have filled the bottom portion with water, take the top portion and keep it on the bottom. The double boiler has to be now placed on a stove top. Make sure that the flame of the stove is about medium high and that it heats the double boiler slowly. You shall have to ensure that the glycerin inside the double boiler gets melted smoothly and slowly rather than getting burnt. You also have to keep on stirring the mixture with the help of a wooden spoon till you are sure that the solid glycerin has transformed into liquid.
  • Now is the turn of adding the fragrances and coloring to the mixture. After you notice that the solid glycerin has melted to perfection, you can then start adding those ingredients that will bring color and scent to your glycerin soap. This step is basically the customization of the soap. You can choose to add the extra natural ingredients of your choice. Make sure that you add an essential oil to the mixture so that the fragrance of the glycerin soap is enhanced. One can also choose to add dried flower blossoms of lavender or chamomile. This will help in enhancing the color of your glycerin soap. You can also choose to add natural pigments to the mixture so that the color and fragrance is maintained. However keep in mind that all natural pigments, dried flower blossoms or essential oils are heavily concentrated and therefore you should take utmost care to use only a small amount of them.
  • Mix all the chosen ingredients and then pour out the mixture into soap molds. Using molds that have designs on their inside or at the sides can lend a unique shape and size to the soap. The soap mixture would be hot while pouring into the molds. One needs to be careful while doing so. Make sure that the soap molds are kept in such an area where they can cool off easily. Your natural vegetable glycerin soap is ready!
