Instructions for Making Bows

Three Looped Bow

  2. First make a loop to the left and then a loop to the right (same size).
  3. Now roll the ribbon over your thumb and make a small center loop. How to Make Christmas Bow
  4. Twist the ribbon in such a manner that tail is right side out.
  5. Make sure the second tail is of the same length as that of the first.
  6. Adjust the second tail length by adjusting the centre loop.
  7. Wire tightly through the center loop.
  8. Now put the third loop to the top. This will complete the bow.
  9. Cut the ribbon tails to the desired length in ā€˜V’ shapes.

Faux Bow

  1. Take a long ribbon and cut it into single lengths to make loops. Since the loops will vary in size hence you need to cut them into different lengths like one 3inch piece for the center loop, and two 4inch pieces, two inch pieces , two 7inch pieces and two 8inch pieces for the rest of the bow.
  2. Cut the remaining piece of ribbon in half for making the bow tails and keep it aside.
  3. Fold each ribbon piece into half and glue the ends together. Make sure to scrunch the ends while applying the glue so as to give a tied look.
  4. Now place the two largest sections end to end and apply hot glue to the one end slightly over the other. Add the rest of the ribbon loops (starting from the largest to the smallest), and hot glue the ends to the center on each side as you proceed.
  5. Once all the side loops are arranged, you can now glue in the center loop such that it covers the glued portions of the side loops.
  6. Now work on the tail section of the bow. Cut the remaining ribbon into two equal sections and hot glue them to the back of the bow. Cut the tail ends in inverted “V”‘ shapes.
