The beer nuts can be made at home in an inexpensive and quicker manner. Further, there are various recipes to make the beer nuts sweet and salty or hot and spicy. Based on you taste you can prepare these nuts and entertain your friends by serving these along with chilled beer.
Recipe I
Ingredients
• 5 cups of raw and shelled peanuts
• 1 cup of brown sugar
• 1/4 cup of maple syrup
• 1 cup water
• salt

Instructions
1. Add the peanuts, brown sugar, maple syrup and water to a large sauce pan and put the pan on stove. Bring the ingredients to a boil and reduce the heat to medium-high. Boil the nuts for about 30 minutes or till all liquid ingredients are absorbed completely.
2. Preheat the oven at 300 degrees. Spread the boiled nuts evenly on a baking sheet greased lightly. Sprinkle the nuts with salt as per your taste.
3. Bake the peanuts for 20 minutes by stirring these occasionally. Remove the half-baked peanuts from the oven and sprinkle these with some additional salt. Put the baking sheet inside the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
4. Remove the baking sheet from oven and allow the peanuts to cool down completely. Serve the peanuts to your guests or store it for future use, by putting in an air-tight container.
Recipe II
Ingredients
• 1 cup of peanut oil
• 10 large fresh kaffir lime leaves
• 8 small dried red chilies
• 6 cups or 2 pounds of raw peanuts
• 1 tablespoon of kosher salt
• 4 large garlic cloves, minced

Instructions
1. Pour the peanut oil into a large skillet and put it on stove to heat the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the fresh kaffir lime leaves and chilies to the skillet. Fry the ingredients over medium heat for about a minute or till the leaves turn crispy and the chilies turn deep red. Transfer the fries leaves and chilies to a plate lined with paper towel using a slotted spoon. Arrange the ingredients evenly on the plate and allow the oil to get drained.
2. Now add the raw peanuts to the hot skillet, and stir-fry for about 10 minutes or till the nuts turn golden brown over a medium heat. After frying the nuts, transfer those to a baking sheet covered with paper towels using a slotted spoon. Let the oil get drained completely. Transfer the hot nuts into a large bowl and toss the kosher salt into the bowl.
3. Add the minced garlic cloves to the hot oil and fry over medium heat for about 2 minutes or till the garlic turns golden. Transfer the fried garlic to the place of leaves and chilies through a slotted spoon. Dry the garlic by patting with a paper towel.
4. Now crush the fried lime leaves and red chilies finely using your hands over the owl containing fried peanuts. Add the fried garlic to these ingredients and toss the bowl to mix these ingredients well.
5. The peanuts are ready to be served with beer. Transfer the spicy fried peanuts to small bowls to serve your guests. You can also store the peanuts by putting inside an air-tight container up to a period of one week.
