You would then have to cut a piece of elastic in accordance with the measurement that you have taken.
You would also have to cut a strip of fabric.
Now you would have to fold the strip in half so that the fabric part is facing the outside. This would make the fabric exposed when the entire work is over.
You would now have to sew the edges of the fabric in such a manner so that a tube shape can be formed for the elastic.
Now that you have finished with it, you would have to work the elastic into the tube.
You would have to sew across the width of the elastic at one end. Do not forget to leave a part of the fabric at the end.
You would have to scrunch the fabric tube around the elastic. Make sure that the other end of the elastic meets the end of the tube, as well.
You would have to follow the same steps with the other end, as well.
Now at the center of the tube and the elastic, you would have to sew straight seam directly so that you can create ruffles evenly.
Finally, when you complete stitching and making the ruffles, you would have to stitch the ends together. This in turn, would ensure that the stitch ends of the headband together with the seam edges face outside. Thus, you would easily complete making the headband for your baby.
