How to Make a Car with Paper and Spools

Some model cars purchase in the shop can be difficult to assemble as well as frustrating for parents and kids. Yet, you can make your own model cars out of easy supplies, such as paper and cotton spools, that you may already available in the house. By making your own car, you are constructing a model that will last a long time, as well as enhance the decoration of your child’s room that he can be swollen with pride. A few instructions are given below:

Mold the clay and shape it

Mold the clay as per your desire shape and size that you want to make for your kid. Mix up one portion flour and one portion water in a large container. You can use a bucket too if you think it is suitable for you. Tear paper from the middle into strips and make a dip in to the prepared paste. Take each strip individually and dip them in to that paste one after another. Use newspaper, construction paper or copy paper for the above use.

Make stripe and dip in to clay paste

Apply each stripe to the clay mold. Apply each layer in the pasted paper to the mold clay. Wait for some time and allow the paste to cool and dry completely. Take out the clay from the paper by sliding it out from the bottom of paper. You may need to use some sharp tools to get the clay out of it. The glue and the paper back mutually using the craft glue once, the clay is detached.

Cut down windows of the car

Cut off the windows of the car using a sharp tool like, knife or razor. Paint the entire body of the car with a quality paint brush by different acrylic colors. Place two spools in to the front and back wheels of the car on the top of the spools. Allow the craft glue to dry out. Use acute cautious while cutting down the paper as the edges may fold sometimes and looks odd if you over cut them. If everything is glued properly, then you paper car is finished.

Decorate out side area

Decorate the outer area of your car and spools with various colors. Create decorations with some stripes which will look fancier and eye catching. You can add other graceful colors to make it moderate at the time of racing. Any design you want to make looks good while standing still and firm. Color or decorate the model car if desired to give a more finishing touch. You can print and download color model cars in black and white so you can put in your own color. Use paint, markers or crayons to look it more natural than imaginative. Always use glossy papers to create your crafts. Unless you use quality, glossy papers you might not get any proper result as it requires.
