How to Learn Latin

Whenever we hear something confusing, we tend to call it “Latin and Greek”! 3. The grammar is the most important part of any language. You must make it a point to master the grammar first. Purchase a grammar book and go by it. Learn all the irregular verbs and memorize them. Being an inflective language, Latin allows you to place the words anywhere in a sentence. You must get acquainted with the pattern first.
4. You can make flash cards which contain the spelling, meaning, antonyms, synonyms and sentences of many difficult words. By getting them by heart, you will be making yourself an expert in the language. You can also use a phrase book to help you out with difficult phrases.
5. You can learn a lot by simply listening. Get audio CDs and listen to what the tutors have to say. You can correct your pronunciation only by hearing and speaking to a tape recorder. Hearing yourself speak can be very helpful. You will find out your mistakes faster this way.
6. Reading can make you perfect. Try to ignite the fire in you for being successful in what you do and read all the famous books. You can read all the famous novels and story-books which have been translated into Latin. You can also polish your skills by reading the church texts and music.
