How to Install Wall Lighting
When you want that bright look in your house or in an office, wall lighting can serve you best. Wall lightings are very important today as they enhance the beauty of your house or office. In many of the cases, this is used to highlight the artwork and can also be used to provide the reading light in your bed room. This can further be used above your bathroom mirror to provide extra light when you wash or brush. These wall lightings are easy to install and there is no need to spend money on an electrician. - The most important thing to do before going for any installation is to shut down the current supply to the electric box. This will protect you from any mishaps and you would be easily installing your wall lighting.
- You should then study the provided instructions with your light fixture, to install your lights.
- Then you should connect the wall mount fixture with a strap and nipple. Also make sure you connect the strap with screws and tighten them securely.
- Now connect the wiring, properly focusing on colors of the wire. For this, you should make sure that you connect the white wire to white, black to black and grounding wire to grounding wire.
- When done with wiring and ensuring that you have done it rightly, insert the nipple into the strap.
- Then attach the knurled cap to the lighting fixture and make it secured. Doing all this will complete the job.
- Now connect an adapter to the central stud, provided your box is having a central stud.
- Also attach the nipple to the adapter. Doing this will connect the fixture to the knurled cap.
- This completes your installation process.
- Now restore power to the electric box and enjoy the great lighting in your room.
Although uncomplicated installation is easy with these simple steps, there may be some lighting that need complex installation techniques. These installation steps are generally provided to you by the manufacturer of the product in the pack itself. Just read the manual you are provided with and follow the instructions to easily install your wall lighting.
