You also need ½ cup of butter and a teaspoon of dried parsley to prepare seasoned butter.
- As it is not a common way of grilling the corns, you don’t need to grill them right away. Take the outer cover of the corns off and cut the corn husk on the top part for about half inch. Put the corns in a pan and make sure that the pan is big enough to hold all the corns at a time. Foil turkey pan is the suitable option for the purpose. Try to arrange the corns in on layer inside the pan.
- Take a mixing bowl and mix the coldwater with garlic powder, dried parsley, salt and black pepper. Mix the ingredients until the salt and the garlic powder completely dissolves into the water.
- Pour the mixture into the pan where you have placed the corns. Make sure that the corns completely submerge in the water. In case you find that the water is not enough to cover all the corns, add more water to it till the corns are completely inside the water. Leave the corn in this way for approximately an hour so that the corns are soaked in the mixture.
- While you leave the corns to soak for an hour, you can start with setting up the grill which is the perfect way to manage time. Put the grill between low and medium heat. Place the corns on the top of the grill after the grill is ready. Let the husks of the corn remain attached while you put them in the grill. Shut the lid.
-
Cook the corn for approximately 10 minutes and then turn the corn to cook the other side. It will take at least 30 minutes to cook the corn. Make sure to turn the corn in every 10 minutes. When the husks dry out completely, you can know that the corns are ready. Once the corn is done completely from all sides, take the corn out of the grill. - If the husks dry out due to grilling, take it out of the grill and again dip them into the mixture for sometime and keep them back on the grill.
- Once the corns are cooked properly, it’s time to prepare the seasoned butter. Mix the butter, salt, garlic powder, black pepper and parsley in a bowl and keep the bowl in microwave for the mixture to boil for a minute.
- Take a basting brush and apply the butter mixture on the corn before serving.
