How to Get Rid Of Zit- Easy Ways
Clogged and dirty pores are the main causes of zits. When skin (especially sensitive ones) is exposed to dust, fungi or other polluted particles they result in zit formation. This is not the only cause, reactions to skin-care products, hormone fluctuations and even wrong diet can result in pimples and acnes. All you need to understand is avoid these causes and in case zit has already erupted, treat it soon.
Instructions
- Make sure you do not poke, scratch, or squeeze your zit. By doing so, you not only reduce the risk of infecting the surrounding skin but also prevent it from spreading.
- If you decide to “pop” your zit, be as sterile as possible. Wash your hands and face properly before and after. Prefer using a sterilized pin (sterilized by rubbing alcohol). Pop a zit only when the puss or blockage is clearly visible and is emerging from the skin surface.
- You can apply some heat to a zit in order to draw out the blockage from the pore. Later you must apply cold to reduce the swelling.
Keep your face clean. Wash it with mild and antibacterial soap and warm water. Dry the skin with a towel. Do not rub the towel hard on the effected spot. Apply benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid topical cream on the zit. Leave it overnight.- Avoid overuse of cosmetics. It is always preferable to go for water based make-up to reduce aggravating of zits.
- Maintain healthy lifestyle. Eat less oily and processed food and also lesser chocolates. Drink lot of water. This will cleanse your body internally and hence reduce the chances of zits.
Tips
- Squeezing a zit can push the hidden blockage further down the pore, thereby worsening the situation.
- Acne/ zit creams and gels that contain no more than 2.5% benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid are effective on zits.
