  1. Identify the carpenter ants and try to locate their source.   3. You can make a natural repellent for killing the ants. Prepare a blend of citrus peelings and water and pour it over the ant hill. There are good chances that all the ants will get destroyed.
  4. Destroy the carpenter ant by drilling holes in the walls to penetrate through the nest. You can drill a series of holes into the suspected areas where the nests may lie. Now puff boric acid or Knox Out (Diazinon), and then spray with an aerosol insecticide. This is one of the most commonly used methods for treating ants.
  5. You may even use Timbor, a pesticide to destroy the ants. But take care to store it in a safe place and beyond the reach of kids and pets because its intake causes indigestion problems.
