The process of dyeing your hair

Ensure your hair is clean. Wash your hair a day prior to colouring. Do not use any conditioners. Towel dry your hair.

  1. Wear a pair of rubber hand gloves and mix the dye in the mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the developer and the lotion together. Use the entire contents of the pack. Now mix it well with a spatula.
  3. Partition your hair into different parts.
  4. Begin application from the nape of your scalp and keep coming up covering each divided part. Once done clip hair. Place cotton balls between the ears and the scalp. Wear a towel over your shoulders to avoid staining.
  5. Avoid covering your head. No applying heat to your head.
  6. Keep the dye on for 30- 45 minutes. The longer you keep it the deeper the shade. But do not exceed time limit and prevent hair damage.
  7. Wash your hair with lukewarm water.
  8. Rinse off all colour from your head. Check till the water from your head runs clear.
  9. Apply conditioner and keep for at least five minutes. You can wear a shower cap and keep it for 20 long minutes for a deep conditioning. But five minutes are mandatory for post hair colour conditioning.
  10. Wash it off with cool water. Rinse thoroughly and wash off product completely.
  11. Now wipe with towel and blow dry your hair. You can almost see your dyed hair now. It will turn better after 24 hours.

Once you have dyed your hair use a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair regularly. This will help make your hair colour last longer and also avoid damage to your hair.
