How to Dry a Bird After a Birth
It is essential to give bathe to a bird in regular basis. During heat summer days they require daily bathing for their survival. A bath or shower help birds to dry skin, dander or dead feathers in more efficient manner than grooming alone. Parrots and other large bird species need a birth to maintain their softness and hygiene which help eradicating many diseases. However, birds need to be completely dried off before they go for a sleep .Here are some useful hints that can guide you to dry your bird after a birth:
Lay out the bird air dry
Birds have natural powers to dry their feather in normal circumstances. They only shake and put off their feathers when they do a bath in wild area. No one meet them to take care of their bath. So, nature has given them supreme power to manage themselves. You can allow a bird to make they dry in a warm room if you wish to give a dry effect to your bird. Birds must allow to bath as long as they want. Some birds love water and never leave the watery area .But others may barely bear it.
Sweep gently on a towel
Bring a soft towel for toweling the bird. Most of the birds afraid of towel as it bite their nail and they feel a little bit panics. But, as you know this process is good for their health and living, make them toweling in a very smooth, soft towel to dry them over. Gently wipe your birds in a soft, clean towel in the direction their feathers grow. Apply your drying process in this simple and usual technique.
Give lower dryer
Try to low dry the bird as their skin is so delicate. It may affect their smoothness. A blow dryer if used must be handling with care. It should be set in the lower air hitting setting and at least an arms length way and not to pointed the bird directly. Back sweeping motions must be used during the drying process. You can also give your bird a daily misting bath outside of the cage. You bird can enjoy this type misting bath a lot. Once, the bird is accustomed with misting bath can never go away from it rather, enjoy more and more.
Give a heat source
Buy infrared heat panels. You may wish to consider purchasing a few heat panels if you think you cannot provide enough heat to keep it warm and tender after a bath. Such panels attaches directly to the cage of the bird and provides a safe heat source for a wet bird and protect it from excess cold. This process is a very safety process and you can adopt it without any attempt for making an experiment.
Place out in the sun
The best way o dry your bird after giving bath is to keep it outside in the sun exposure. Sun rays are best alternative for any birds and animals to keep them happy, healthy and disease free. All birds’ loves to sit in the sun. They can linger their meeting with another bird or animal while running in sunny spot. You need not to worry about whether they are too wet or too cold. They can manage essentially drip dry their feather after a bath.
