Use residue free shampoo: Use a residue free shampoo and let it dry. You can use clips to hold the section while you section for the rest of the hair. The more you twist your from the back, the faster you can dread and lock your hair. Depending on your style, and time frame you may twist one portion of head in one sitting and can complete it later.
