Most human muscles are all round and some are different which are required in making the face and other smaller parts of the body. The muscles have to be shaped rightly to provide a perfect dimension to the body. Muscles will make your body stand and they also help in adding a distinct shape to your figure. So you have to start with the drawing straight away.

  1. First you need to draw the muscles of the face. They do not have any special structure. Just drawing the face and lines in some places to make people understand the muscle formations. One should be on the chin area and there should also be lines on the cheek and also on the forehead.
  2. Then you draw the neck of the human with no muscle formation. This should be a clean sketch. Muscles of the hands and the shoulders have to be drawn perfectly. All the muscles should have rounded shapes. The muscles of both side of the body should look similar or else the figure may develop imperfections. There should be apt shoulder muscles all in form of semi circles. At the hand and finger areas again you have to make small lines in order to add perfection to the diagram.
  3. Drawing the muscles of the chest is not an easy task. First you have to know what which particular muscles are required to make the chest area. How may muscle formations should be there to make the picture look nice and complete. The chest should look broad with the muscles. Now things would seem a bit different in case of a female figure.
  4. In the stomach area there are lesser chances of drawing muscles. This portion of the body is absolutely flat and thus you do not need to work much on this part.
  5. Next is the heap area. Again, this area of the body has to be made prominent by drawing rounded muscles. All the configurations should be correct to make the figure look erect and smart.
  6. The legs too need perfect muscles to appear strong and straight. There should be exact thigh muscles, knee muscles and also muscles for the lower part of the leg. You should deal with the shape of the muscles efficiently. The picture will look nice if the legs appear to be strong and capable of carrying the weight of the body.
  7. Last comes the feet of the man. Again, this does not need any muscle detailing. Only the toes have to be drawn with skill and the heel area should be prominent to make the feet look nice and prominent.

Thus, drawing a human figure is not an easy task. You should have perfect concept of the muscles. The shapes should be apt and according to the actual shape of the body and so be specific and correct while drawing the muscles. Take help and see pictures before you start on with the real diagram.
