However while trying to draw some of the major cartoon characters; drawing can be quite a bit of a challenge. Here we shall be discussing about the method of drawing Disney characters perfectly. There are so many funny and cute characters in Disney cartoons that it becomes difficult to choose any one as the subject. So let us try and know more about the method of drawing the famous Mickey mouse and Disney’s Jumbo.

First let us know about how to draw Mickey Mouse.

Begin by drawing a circle of medium size on a paper and proceed on to mark the center guidelines.
We shall first focus on making the nose and the eyes. Take the vertical center line as your mark and draw the eyes immediately on both the sides of the vertical center line. Now let us know the method of drawing the nose of Mickey Mouse. You have to use the horizontal line centered over the vertical line as your mark and then draw the nose just under it. Do not forget to draw a curved line under both the eyes. Make sure that you keep the curved line small in length.
Let us begin drawing the smile and chin of Mickey Mouse. Remember that the top of the mouth of Mickey Mouse will be serving as the mirror for the curve of the nose and make sure that while drawing the chin you have to extend it outside the bottom of the circle.
For the drawing the ears of Mickey Mouse, you will need to make two large ovals and then make sure to draw curved lines around the cheeks and eyes. This is done for creating the mask of the Disney characters.
After drawing out the basic features in the face of Mickey Mouse, you can erase off all the guidelines that you had drawn at the beginning. Add color to the picture and your Mickey Mouse is ready!

Now we shall know about the method of drawing Disney’s Jumbo:

You have to begin by drawing out a medium sized circle in a paper which will serve as Jumbo’s head. Now just inside the circle that you have drawn, draw one horizontal line towards the middle of the circle. Also draw another horizontal below the line that you have just drawn. These lines will serve as the facial guidelines for Jumbo. You can try and draw a rough outline of the top of his ears by drawing a rounded shape. However you have to make sure that this rounded shape is drawn just at the upper portion of each side of the circle. Simultaneously you can also draw the outline of Jumbo’s legs and trunk.
Try and complete the ears of Jumbo in the same shape as of a butterfly wing. For drawing the cheeks of Jumbo you will need to draw a slightly puffy outline. Remember that the trunk should originate from the bottom edge of the circle. You can also add a frilled collar by outlining it just below circle which surrounds the trunk on both sides.
Use the facial guidelines which we had drawn in step 1 to add the eyes in between them. For showing the wrinkles on Jumbo’s nose just add some tiny lines.
Add the pupils inside the eyes that you have drawn and also draw small lines just above his eyes that will act as his eyebrows.
Now erase all the preliminary lines and guidelines and proceed on to color the picture that you have drawn.
