How to Draw Books
Books are considered to be the most useful source of learning. But when it comes to drawing the same the perception might change to some extent. This is because there are comparatively less people who can draw books though they can read them quite effectively. Drawing needs some creative skills which can make the entire process a little easier for any subject we choose. In the beginning an individual might need some basic ideas and information to draw a book following the basics with simple approaches. But gradually he would be able to draw the same using advanced techniques and with more interests.
There are a few fundamental points that an individual should observe while drawing books. These points are described in brief in the following steps: -
- To begin with the project, an individual will initially require a drawing paper which should be relatively thick, eraser, colored markers, both light and dark shaded graphite pencils, ruler and any other types of drawing material to use during the process.
- An individual should draw a set of parallel lines that will eventually bear the appearance for the pages of a book. Next he should draw a couple of slanted vertical lines for the binds of the books. But make sure the lines are drawn straight and not at all narrow. An individual can also use a ruler to make this step easier. Then start to scribble at least three vertical lines in the front to depict the pages of a book when viewed sideways.
- Draw some flat shaped cubical structures so that the books will come out looking three dimensional. The top and the bottom layers should be made a litter wider in length than the mid parallel lines so that they appear as the binding covers of a book. Use a marker to draw the boarder lines of the binding edges that will look more prominent.
- Add some more defining lines to detail the binding of the books. To avoid any discrepancy use a ruler and sketch these lines properly. Next you need to cap off the right inside of the books with vertical lines so that it bears the appearance of the pages.
- To offer more realistic looks to your subject detail the bottom of the binding cover with colorful markers. You can now wipe off the unwanted scribbled lines using a soft eraser. But make sure not to leave a rough patch on the surface of the drawing sheet. This is because when you will add colors, these marks will be visible and the whole sketch will look dull at the end of the drawing.
- For adding colors, an individual can use sketch pens or any colorful markers. Usually bright colors like red, blue and green look good to hold the glossy appearance of a drawing.
These are the steps that holds good for drawing books with a simple and easy approach. An individual should put his interest to make his drawing appear more realistic. Pursuing with these steps he can draw books quite effectively.
