Steps

First draw a medium size, tilted egg shape that is narrow at one end and wider at another end. Adjust the wider portion of the shape in the direction that you want the turtle to be facing.
Now add the turtle’s head by drawing a spoon like shape or knobby thumb shape at the centre top of the wider portion. For this, you must first draw a short line extending from the egg, widening into a circle and then returning back to a thinner line as reaching the egg.
Draw front flippers extending from the egg. These flippers should resemble banana shapes that slightly bend backward towards the back of the turtle. Also add the back flippers on either side of the rounded point of the turtle’s end. Make sure these are shorter, wider and more irregular in shape.
Draw another egg shape inside the first one.
Add rough hexagons or squashed diamond shapes inside the second egg shape to represent the texture of the turtle’s shell. Also add some dots or random patterns on the flippers and short lines in the space dividing the two egg shapes. These patterns will make your drawing more real.
Finally add a small eye in the head portion and a mouth to the turtle.
