The things that are needed for drawing a tiger are as follows:

The method of drawing a tiger is made easier and simpler by following the step by step guide given below:

You have to begin by drawing a circle in the middle of the paper. Make sure that you draw the circle very lightly and the circle is drawn at that place where you want the tiger’s head to be positioned. After sketching the circle, just narrow it down towards the chin and widen at the sides, so that it looks more tigerish.
The next step is adding the nose and ears of the tiger. You can draw two slightly rounded triangle shapes as the ears. However for drawing the nose portion of the tiger, take your pencil to the inner corner of the left eye and start drawing a line that comes downwards and curves out slightly. The same method has to be repeated for the right side. Now these two curved lines have to be joined by drawing a W shape. You can also draw the top of an upside down heart. This will also b similar to the W shape. You have the nose ready.
We have to turn our attention towards making the eyes of the tiger. Take your pencil to that position in the tiger’s face where you had drawn the line for the nose. Start drawing from the top of that particular line and then extend it outwards and upwards. After doing so, you have to draw around half of the eye towards the bottom. However be very sure that you are not drawing the eyes as perfect rounds, they should be more of a slanted shape. This will form the outline of the eyes of the tiger. Now we have to add the pupils to the eyes. Add small circles inside the outline of both the eyes that will form the iris and pupils. After doing so, draw out the mouth of the tiger. Use a slightly curved line on the nose that will form the tip of the nose.
Let us now come to the body of the tiger. Start drawing a straight line from just below the cheek on each side of the face of the tiger towards the bottom of the paper. Incase you want to add a tail to the tiger’s body, you can draw a line up from the bottom of the page, take it above the tiger’s head by curving it and then again bring it down to the bottom of the page.
You can now move on to add the other details to the tiger like its whiskers, stripes and also remember to add little hairs around the cheek, ears and chin of the tiger.
You can erase off any preliminary lines and guidelines that you had previously drawn and proceed on to color it.
