Now you have to decide on the costumes of your superhero. You can either choose to outfit him with tight fitting spandex or with loose robes. It is entirely dependent on your imagination and level of creativity as to what kind of costumes will make your superhero look realistic and heroic. Even if you choose to outfit your superhero with loose robes, you still have to draw a certain amount of muscle mass in the body of the superhero. However you should take care that the mask which you are drawing should not cover the entire face of your superhero. You can either design such a mask which covers only the eyes or may be the hood of your superhero’s costume is long enough to cover the head and eyes of your superhero. However the mask should be drawn in such a manner that it curves along the curve of the face of the superhero.
You shall have to remember that superheroes are always drawn in such a manner that they have arms, legs and torso which are longer than the usual. Therefore you should take care to incorporate this aspect of their form while you are drawing any superhero. While normal human beings are drawn as six head lengths tall, superheroes should be seven head lengths tall. Incase you are drawing a comic style superhero; you should taker care to minimize the facial features to simple shapes and lines. In a drawing of a comic superhero, you should give more emphasis on mask, costume and body language.
