First, you must remember that Pokemon is drawn in Japanese anime style. Though it is very easy to draw a Pokemon, you must keep the fundamentals of drawing in mind.   1. Start drawing the face. First draw a circle. For the chin add a triangular shape at the bottom of the circle.
  2. Add big pointed ears that can be long-triangular shapes joined at the side of the circle leave some space for the forehead.
  3. Add large oval-shaped eyes. These shapes need to be more of height than width.
  4. For the mouth, you can draw a small circle for an open mouth or a line for a close mouth.
  5. For the nose, you can put a simple line as they are not very noticeable in the face and shadowed by the eyes.
  6. For hair, you can use the pencil varying like a pain brush rather than symmetric and same sized lines. Choose random line and make short and big hair strands to make it looks realistic.
  7. The figures of a Pokemon are generally smaller as compared to the head. You can choose simple postures for the first time and move on to complex actions as you practice little more.
  8. Then your Pokemon is ready to dress. You can choose what kind of clothing you want to draw and decide on the folds and drapes depending on that. Usually, Pokemon wear simple clothing without much designs or folds.
  9. After you are satisfied with your pencil sketch, you can use a darker pencil to outline the Pokemon you have drawn.
  10. Use bright colors for the eyes, lips, and clothes, keeping the body parts in one color.

Tip: Use lighter shade pencils for the initial drawing. Adding sparkles would make your Pokemon look bright and colorful.
