How to Draw a Pig
The pig is a favorite barn animal. You can try and draw a pig in a realistic manner. This can be done when you attempt to break down the parts of the pig into small shapes that are recognizable. These shapes can also be any familiar geometric shapes. Basically you have to break up the parts of a pig in such a manner so that drawing it becomes easy and simple. By doing this you can also add some details to the body of the pig. In this article we shall deal with the process of drawing a pig by following certain steps that can make our task easier:
- You can begin by drawing out the basic skeletal frame of the pig first. For drawing the skeletal frame of a pig, you have to begin by drawing a large and long oval. This will represent the body of the pig. Now for drawing the head, you can attach another smaller oval. We can now try to make the snout of the pig. This can be done by attaching a small cylinder to the front of the head of the pig. We can now move on towards drawing the ears of the pig. This can be done by drawing two small triangles on the top of the head. You can then move on with drawing the tail of the pig by adding a curly cue to the back of the pig’s body. Now you can add the legs to the body of the pig by drawing two simple lines. Now we can draw the feet of the pig. This can be done by drawing ovals which come to a point on the left hand side.
- After doing all that is mentioned above i.e. the skeletal frame of the pig, you have to connect the head of the pig to the top of the back. This can be done by adding a curved line. Now you have to draw a small curved line at the bottom of the head. This small curved line has to be attached to the body of the pig. Now you can proceed towards thickening the legs of the pig. You can do this by adding parallel lines around the guideline that you had drawn earlier for legs. You shall have to make the lines wider at the bottom than at the bottom. That means the legs of the pig should seem as if they are wide as they begin and narrow down as they end. Also do not forget to add a parallel line around the curly cue which you had drawn for the tail of the pig.
-
You can now move on to add the details to the body of the pig. You can begin by creating the eye of the pig. This can be done by drawing a small teardrop oval shape on the head of the pig. This eye in the shape of teardrop oval needs to be placed on the front left hand side of the pig’s head. After you have added the details to the pig’s head and body, you have to erase out all the guidelines that you had drawn earlier. This means that all those lines which were drawn during the process of drawing the skeletal frame of the pig needs to be removed before proceeding any further. - You can now ink the whole drawing of the pig. After the ink dries off, you can erase off all the lines that were drawn by using pencil. After erasing the pencil lines, you can add small wrinkles and lines to the body of the pig. This can be done by adding curved c shapes as lines in areas around the ears and neck of the pig. Your drawing of the pig is complete!
