How to Draw a Dolphin
Dolphins are one of the most beautiful and wonderful creatures found in seas and oceans. They are extremely social and intelligent animals who are generally friendly with human beings and often delight crowds with their amazing tricks and behavior. Highly loveable marine creatures, these Dolphins can be fun to draw.
They are one of the easiest animals to draw. They are made of just few basic shapes which if you master; you can create a perfect caricature of the mammal. Here are some instructions that will guide you in drawing this beautiful sea animal.
Instructions
1. First draw the body of the animal. Make a curved teardrop or an elongated oval shape with tapering end that will form the tail portion.
2. Add tail to the creature by trying to continue the curve of the body in the lower part. At the end or lower part make two curved V shapes to give the desired tail look.
3. Now draw the fins that along with the tail help the creature to swim against high tides. While making the fins make sure they are drawn in balance with the body. Do not draw them too far from the head.
4. Add further details to your drawing like eyes and mouth. For the mouth portion draw a U shape at front of the head such that the open side of U is facing towards the right. Make sure the line forming the upper portion of the mouth is shorter than the other line forming the lower portion of mouth.
5. Now darken the lines you want to keep, and erase the extra or unwanted pencil lines. Your dolphin drawing is done and ready to color.
Its so easy, just try out and see how well you can create this creature!
