If you own a personal computer, then keep the music you want to transfer to your MP3 in a proper manner. If you do not have the music files you want in your PC, download it from the internet or copy from CDs or DVDs of your favorite music. The things you would need to have, before you start downloading music to your MP3, are a computer or laptop, USB 2.0 Cable (if your MP3 player doesn’t have the USB to be plugged into the system directly) and the MP3 player. With this, you are now equipped enough to download music.
Only a few simple steps could help you get your desired songs into your MP3 Player.
- Use the USB 2.0 cable in case you don’t have it in your MP3 Player. Some players also act as USB drives hence come ready to be plugged. In case, you need to use the cable, check both ends for the USB symbol.
- The bigger end has to be attached to the computer or laptop and the smaller end has to be fixed to the MP3 Player. The USB port is generally placed in the CPU (check both front and back) of a desktop computer and it can be found in the sides or back of the laptop.
- Once you plug-in your MP3 Player, you would be prompted by your computer to ‘Open Folder to View Files’.
- Clicking on this option would take you inside the MP3 Player. You would notice some folders in it.
- Choose the ‘Music’ folder and open it by double clicking on it.
- Select your favorite music files from your computer and copy them.
- Open the ‘Music’ folder and paste the files in there. Please wait till the files are downloaded completely.
- Once you are through this process, the MP3 player can then be unplugged after safely removing the hardware from the system.
Tips: The MP3 Player may support only specific types of music files. You must make sure that the files you want to transfer are in the compatible format. MP3 & MP4 are some most recognized formats for such players.
