How to Download Music on Psp
If music is your passion, and you love to carry your favorite music with you where ever you go, then there are various portable media handheld devices available in the market. The PSP is no doubt one of the most loved ones among the lot. It comes with some pretty amazing features. You can not only listen to your favorite music but also watch movies or play games in it.
There are a lot of things you can do with your PSP but you must learn how to operate it well, so that you get all you favorite, audio/video files in it for seamless music on the go. But, in case the device is new to you and the steps provided in the manual are not helpful. There is no need to run out of your wits here. It is very easy and anyone can do it.
First of all, if you have your favorite music in your personal computer then you may keep them in properly named folders to easily access the files. But, in case, you don’t have the files with you, you may need to download songs and music files to your PC. You can download from the internet or read and copy from the song DVDs or CDs that you have with you. You would require your computer, PSP and the USB 2.0 cable to download music. Now, you are ready to start the downloading process.
So, learn how to download music on PSP in a few simple steps.
- Check out the USB 2.0 cable. It has a small end and a large end. You have the USB symbol to figure our which side you need to plug it in.
- Put the large end to your PC (front/back of CPU)/Laptop (look for the USB ports at both sides and the back). The small end has to be inserted in to your PSP.
- You need to choose the ‘USB Connection’ mode from the ‘Settings’ menu.
- Once you do it, a pop up would appear on your PC which would have various options. You need to choose ‘Open Folder to View Files’.
- This action would lead you inside your PSP. You would notice various folders inside it. You need to double click on the ‘Music’ folder to access the folder.
- The next step is to select the music files that you want to transfer or download to your PSP. Select the music files one by one or multiple files simultaneously by keeping the ‘ctrl’ button pressed and clicking on the files.
- Copy the selected files and paste it inside the ‘Music’ folder.
- After you are done with this process, you can safely remove the hardware or you can use the ‘O’ button in your PSP to disable the USB connection.
Tips: The PSP supports certain specific music file types, so make sure the music files you want to transfer are in those formats only. These formats are MP3& 4, WAV, UMD, and ATRAC3plus. Do not use your PSP in public cafes as it may lead your PSP to get virus affected.
