How to Do Blush Makeup
People prefer to do blush makeup as the makeup warms up with the heat of the body to provide an intense hue. For getting a healthy look one can use cosmetic facial blush powders sparingly. The makeup works as a fast-fix for your beauty as it warms up your skin, contours your cheeks, exaggerates an attractive hollow, and creates an ideal glow on your face that looks like it comes from within. The cosmetic face blushes are available in different textures and shades. Before applying the blush makeup you should test the blush powder by keeping the power inside your forearms.
You can test the right color of the blush powder or cream blush in two ways. You can judge the right color of the blush powder from its natural look. Then you have to test the intensity of the color by matching the powder color with your complexion. If you are fair, you can apply the powder with just a hint of color and translucency. But if you are string in coloring you have to apply the powder with more depth and intensity to bring out your good looks. While doing blush makeup you have to use a good brush applicator, grin like a fool, brush your blush powders lightly over the apple of the cheek, with short up and down face movements. You can give a final touch to the makeup by applying a light stroke across your forehead by your hair line.
Instructions
- While doing blush makeup you have to ensure that it has to look natural to give you a good look. Place your index and middle finger vertically against the side of your nose. Start putting the blusher from near the edge of the outer finger, going up to the temple. If you have got a broad face (square/round) apply the blusher on your cheekbones and do not brush it up towards your ears. Dab just bit of the blusher on each earlobe. It can add a glow to your face if you are showing the earlobes by pulling your hair back or have short hair. Also it is very important to add a touch of the blusher on your chin and forehead.
- While applying blush you have to select the blush matching with your skin color. You should avoid using the blushes which are too bright or too dark for your skin color. Your selected blush color should flatter your skin tone by giving it a natural healthy glow.
- The best way to use the blush is to use it in a way to give you a natural look. The blush make up is a base makeup which will not be shown to others. For preventing your blush from sticking out you should do your blush make up before doing your eye make-up and applying lipstick. Also apply the blush by standing in front of a well-lit mirror so that you will not apply too much of the blush powder on your face. Also ensure that you do not apply more than 3-4 brush strokes of the powder.
- If you have already applied too much of the blush, you can remove the excess color out by rubbing a dry clean make-up sponge over the brush strokes. You can also use translucent powder to soften the color to redo the blush makeup with a new and subtler blush shade.
