How to do a Brazilian Wax
Won’t you like to have a hair-free bikini area? But are you uncomfortable with the idea of getting it waxed by somebody else and also for paying a high amount for it? Well, the only solution you have is to go for Brazilian wax at home. All you need is some wax and a mirror. It’s a simple process that you can easily try at home.
Following instructions will help you understand the process so that you can do it yourself comfortably.
Instructions
- Carefully trim any hair in the bikini region to no shorter than about 1/2 inch. This is important because if you have too short hair then removing it through waxing will be difficult. It is always preferable to avoid shaving off the area for at least two weeks before waxing. Also make sure that it’s not ‘that time’ of the month because things will be more sensitive during that period.
- Get a good sugaring wax. It is the safest choice. Professionals often use a hot wax, so make sure you have some prior experience before you attempt to use a hot wax on your skin. Prepare the waxing strips. Cut them into smaller, quarter inch strips. Have a damp towel or cotton with you to wipe up wax that may stick to your hands.
- Now start applying wax on the skin. Begin from the smaller area. Just as you apply wax on the spot immediately place the strip onto it and press it. Wait for a moment and then pull the strip against the direction that the hair grows. Do not try to remove too much hair with one pull. Just remove as much of the hair as desired.
- Continue waxing the bikini line completely and remove the hair growth along the lips of vagina. It is always better to use smaller strips for this area. Use a mirror between you legs for waxing the areas that you cannot see. After you are done with the front portion, flip over and wax your backside.
- Do not apply excess wax because the waxing strip will not adhere to the hair. Make sure you carefully read the manufacturer’s directions prior applying wax and removing hair.
- While waxing you will notice that hair in some areas are easier to remove than others. This is due to the varying thickness of the hair. So, if you find a particular area has become too red, then continue only after redness subsides. Do not continue if it becomes too painful because it’s a sensitive area. Excess and stubborn hair can also be removed with tweezers.
- Once done with waxing, apply some lotion, aloe or even baby powder to the waxed regions in order to soothe the area. If some redness persists, do not bother it will subside in few hours.

Tips to Remember
- If you are giving yourself a Brazilian wax for the first time then do not expect 100% result. With more and more attempts it will get easier and better for you every time.
- While waxing if some bleeding occurs, then gently rub the area with alcohol or use tuck pads to clean the area.
- If you have a real good friend whom you can trust completely then you can take her help if you want.

Hmmm. Brazilian wax sounds too easy to do, huh. I’ve tried it, and the pain is indescribable. But like what they say, “No pain, no gain”.
