How to Cut Your Own Bangs
Want to try some different hairstyle? Well, nicely cut, eye-grazing fringes can be a good option to go for. It is the best style for all those who want to highlight their big, beautiful eyes or wish to hide their high forehead. Would you like to try this hairstyle? If yes, you don’t need to go to beauty parlor for the hair cut. You can cut your own bangs at home. Here are some instructions that you can consider before going for the cut:
Instructions
- Firstly, select the part of your hair that you want to cut by parting it with a comb. Push the remaining hair behind your sides or simply pin them up or its best to pull back into a pony.
Now decide how much of a bang you want to cut. Bear in mind that bangs shrink when dry, so if you are planning to cut them wet make sure to take off more than you decided. Just go for a little more length than you originally desired.- Comb the desired amount of hair properly and then gather the desired bang hair to the point of the face till where you want your bang length to be. For instance, if you want your bang length to be below the eyebrows, then hold the hair near the bridge of the nose.
- Hold the desired amount of hair securely with your left hand and keep it stretched. Using a sharp hair cutting scissor cut one snip at the desired length. Prefer cutting the bangs with scissors facing upward at a 45 or 90 degree angle for finer finish.
- Once cutting is done, your bangs will fall to the desired length, with the sides being a bit longer than the center.
Tips to Remember
- Before you start cutting your own bangs, make sure you have a pair of sharp scissors that are specially meant for cutting hair.
- If your bangs are very curly and you wish to wear them straight, flat iron them before you start snipping. If you have natural wavy hair, leave it as it is and see how the bangs look.
