You can advertise on the social networking website for the business or fan page maintained by you on Facebook. There are also options to advertise a website that does not have any presence on Facebook. The popular social network also offers advertisers various options to choose from including the pay for clicks and pay for views or impression. Base on your advertising policy you can choose an option suiting to your nature of business. If you give priority to attract web traffic to your Facebook page or website, you can always opt for the paying for clicks option. At the same time, if you are emphasizing on your ads to be viewed by an increasing number of Facebook users, you can choose the paying for impressions option. But irrespective of the option, you can use the Facebook Ads feature to create and publish an ad for your business or organizations.

Instructions

 

  1. Sign in to Facebook using your email address and password. You will be redirected to your Facebook home page. Type “http://www.facebook.com/ads/create” in the address bar of the browser to create an Ad on Facebook. Now you can see the Advertise on Facebook form asking you to provide a set of information.
  2. In the Destination field, you can see the business and fan pages associated with your Facebook profile. Select the specific page from the displayed list, if you want to create the ad based on your Facebook page. But if you want to create the ad based on your business website, type the URL of your official website in the textbox labeled as URL.
  3. Based on your selected option, now you can see some default values appearing in the Title and Body fields of the form. The form also display the default image used in your business page. However, you can always edit the displayed values based on your preference and requirement. The form also allows users to preview the ad created by him through the preview tab.Click on the Continue button after filling in the appropriate values in the respective fields.
  4. In the second section of the form, you have options to fill in the targeted Facebook users, who can view and access your business advertisement. You can select the country and specific cities, the age limit and sex of the intended viewer along with the likes and interests. Click on the Continue button after selecting the appropriate values displayed by the form.
  5. Now you will be taken to the third section of the form, where you have option to select the campaigns, pricings and scheduling. The section allows you to choose the account currency, account time zone, along with the country or territory. You can also decide the budget of the advertising campaign by selecting a name for the campaign and setting a budget on the basis of lifetime or per day. There are also options to schedule the campaign by entering multiple ranges of dates.
  6. After filling in all sections of the form, click on the Review Ad button to access and review the Facebook Ad created by you. If you want to incorporate some additional changes, click on the Edit Ad button appearing as a part of the Review Ad page. But if you are content with the created ad, you can click on the Place Order button to communicate the advertisement request to Facebook.
