Important points to Remember

  • Rinsing of rise is important because it helps to remove impurities and starch, with just protein intact, thus making it nutritionally high.
  • While cooking rice, the rolling boil is vital because it results in steam build up that completely cooks the rice without it being placed over an open flame.
  • For better results, make use of longer grain rice.
  • In case you find that the rice needs to be cooked a little more, then all you need to do is to pour some hot water to the pot. Cover it with the lid and wait for few minutes. Make sure that you add not more than ΒΌ cup of water. The hot steam within the pot will cook the rice.
  • If you want to add a bit pf variety, you can use scented rice. Scented rice requires lesser quantity of water and takes less cooking time than other types of long grain rice.
