How to Cook Ramen with Egg
Ramen with egg is popular among the college students and bachelors living alone duo to easy and less time consuming recipes. You can make the dish using the seasoning packet coming along with the ramen noodles. It can still be made an elaborate soup by adding a set of additional ingredients and spices. Based on your convenience you can cook a simple ramen with egg or make a delicious ramen with egg soup with additional vegetables and sauces.
Recipe I
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 packet of ramen (of your choicest flavor)
- water
Instructions
- Add two cups of water to a pot and place the pot on heat to boil. Keep the pot over a medium heat, till the water starts boiling.
- Use your hands to crush up the ramen inside the packet. While crushing the ramen ensure that the same is done gently so that a mess is not created due to busting the bag.
- Add the crushed ramen noodles to the boiling water along with the seasonings. You can also add additional ingredients like onion, hot sauce, or scallions. Keep cooking the dish for a few minutes till the noodles turn soft.
- Crack the egg and drop it into the pot once the noodles start getting soft. Cover the pot and turn the stove off. Let the dish sit for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- After sitting the ramen, transfer the ramen with egg to a bowl and use a spoon to break the yolk. Mix the egg well with the ramen noodles and serve the dish along with ketchup.
- While making the dish, you can add additional spices and sauces of your taste to get the required taste. If you want you can also make the noodles spicy and flavored.
Recipe II
Ingredients
- 3 cups of Water
- 1 package ramen noodles
- 1 vegetarian bouillon cube
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- five-spice powder
- pepper
- 4 ounces peanuts
- 4 ounces frozen broccoli
- 4 ounces frozen cauliflower
- 4 ounces frozen corn
- 4 ounces frozen peas
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- soy sauce or hoisin sauce
Instructions
- Pour in the water into a large saucepan and keep it on stove to boil. You can also put the pot inside a microwave to bring the water to a boil.
- Add the bouillon cube along with the onion, garlic, five-spice powder and pepper to the boiling water. Also add the crushed noodles without the seasoning packet, broccoli and cauliflower. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat or microwave for about 5 minutes.
- Now add peanuts, peas and corn to the cooked ingredients and bring back to boil or microwave for 3 minutes.
- Add the egg to the ingredients and bring the mixture back to boil after stirring the soup well. You can also microwave for another 2 minutes.
- Now add the seasoning packet included in the ramen soup package along with the sesame and soy or hoisin sauce. Stir the sauces well to mix completely with the soup. The soup is ready and can be served when the same is still hot.
