Though there is canned pumpkin available in the market, use of fresh pumpkin definitely adds better flavor and is more nutritious.   1. Cut the pumpkin into two halves; remove seeds, pulp, and stringy portion.
  2. Peel off the skin and cut small pieces.
  3. Cover the pieces with lightly salted water
  4. Allow it to boil for about 25 minutes or until tender.

  1. Cut pumpkin in halves and remove the seeds.
  2. Cut the pumpkin into large pieces so that they fit in microwave. Leave skin on.
