How to Cook Goose
A very yummy dark meat that can make festive times even more memorable. A goose is great to taste and makes for a wonderful dish. It is also very simple to cook. Here’s how to make your goose scrumptious and satisfying.
- Buy a whole goose. Get it cleaned or clean it yourself.
- Rinse it with plain water and let it air dry for 2-3 minutes
- Keep it in a roasting tray
- Prick the goose in several places
- Keep a peeled onion inside it
- Now season it with salt ad pepper
- Use a little oregano in your seasoning
- Now sprinkle barbecue sauce all over the goose
- Preheat the oven up to 190 C/ 375F
- Cover the goose with foil and let it roast
- Remove the foil when 30 minutes to cooking are remaining
- Start cooking again this will make the top crisp and brown
- Once done, remove the goose and let it set for 20 miutes
- Serve the goose with apple sauce, mashed potatoes , tomato gravy and peppermint leaves.
